Position: Research Analyst (“RA”)

About Align Partners Capital Management:
Align Partners has formed a team of experienced investment professionals who have accumulated years of investment experience in Korea/Hong Kong at leading global IB/PEs (KKR/ Goldman Sachs, PAG/Nomura). Align Partners aims to initiate a new strategy fund to acquire a significant minority stake in undervalued public companies in Korea and implement PE style approach to act as a value-add partner to maximize shareholder value and potentially lead to origination of proprietary PE transaction opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
RA(s) will have a unique opportunity to work with highly seasoned and successful investment professionals and will support the team in various stages of investment process.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Identifying investment opportunities through a rigorous screening and research process
• Constructing and maintaining detailed company specific financial and valuation models
• Conducting in-depth research and analysis of industry trend and competitive dynamics
• Conducting conference calls and meetings with industry experts, consultants, competitors, suppliers, and customers
Qualifications & Experience:
• Prior internship experience in private equity investing, investment banking or consulting background is preferred but is not required
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills supported by good reasoning in formulating investment views
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and handle multiple assignments effectively
• Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability and communication skill to work effectively with team members
• High level of professionalism, maturity, confidence, and judgment
• Intellectual curiosity coupled with strong commercial sense
• Native level of language skills in Korean and fluent in English
