As a Junior Trader, you role and responsibilities will be:
* Trading underlying assets of funds to invest in overseas markets which include non-domestic equities, mutual funds, futures, FX and FX derivatives, hedge instruments and commodities.
* Providing back up support to the domestic equity trader in the team.
* Taking full responsibility of order delivery, execution, matching and inputting of trading results, and broker/account management.
* Resolving all issues related to trading and settlement.
The successful candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Economics/ Maths/Accounting or other relevant disciplines.
* Certified Investment Manager is preferred.
* Previous trading experience (1-3 years) from either a sell side or buy side (preferred) environment.
* Demonstrated a passion and solid understanding of capital market products ？ Equities, FX, Derivatives.
* Good working knowledge of fund accounting preferred.
* Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
* Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with trading counterparties and colleagues in other divisions.
* Fast learner with a strong numerical sense.
* Attention to detail focused, diligent and be accountable and reliable.
* Mature, responsible and highly focused
* Resilient and motivated.
* Team player and understanding of a corporate culture essential.
